Business & financials
A month that closes without a spreadsheet.
Automated compliance tools for the genuinely awkward accounting hospitality generates.
Business & financials
Double-entry, behind everything
Every booking, payment, refund and expense posts to a real ledger — so the numbers balance because they must, not because somebody checked.
Tax that is applied, not remembered
VAT, tourism levies and city taxes at the rates you configure, applied by the same engine that quotes the price.
Reports your accountant accepts
Profit and loss for any period, revenue by room and by channel, tax summaries, and an export that reconciles.
Included on every plan, with a free tier that does not expire. List your property or call +234 (81) 441-611-51.

Why hospitality accounting is awkward
A booking is not one transaction.
It is a deposit taken in one month against a stay in another, with tax at a rate that depends on the guest's length of stay, part-refunded under a policy agreed at checkout, possibly split across a card and a transfer, and posted to a room whose revenue an owner is entitled to a share of. Generic accounting software models none of that, which is why most properties keep a spreadsheet alongside it.
01Deferred revenue handled properly
a deposit in March against an April stay lands in April
02VAT, tourism levies and city taxes applied by the engine that quoted the price
03Refunds calculated from the policy the guest actually agreed to, not by hand
04Split payments across methods reconciled to one reservation
05Owner statements per property
per month, with commission and expenses netted
How it works
Getting accounting & compliance running
- 1
Get a login
A real console, seeded so you can click around a working property rather than an empty one. You change the password on first sign-in.
- 2
Load the property
Rooms, room types, rates and your booking policy — in one session, from a spreadsheet, an extranet or a page of notes.
- 3
Connect your channels
Link what you already sell on, verify the calendar matches on both sides, and let the sync take over.
- 4
Go live
Your site goes live on your address immediately. Point your own domain whenever it suits you.
The test of hospitality accounting is a deposit taken in one month against a stay in another, part-refunded under a policy agreed at checkout. If the software cannot do that, the spreadsheet never goes away.
BookingHQ — how we build it
Questions people ask before they sign up
Will my accountant accept the export?
The export is a balanced double-entry ledger with a profit and loss for any period, revenue by room and by channel, and tax summaries at the rates you configured. It reconciles, which is the thing accountants actually care about.
Does it handle multiple tax rates?
Yes - VAT, tourism levies and city taxes are configured separately and applied by the same engine that quotes the guest, so what was charged and what is reported cannot disagree.
Do I have to leave Booking.com or Airbnb?
No, and we would not advise it. OTAs are a shop window and they work. The goal is narrower: the guest who saw you there and then searched your name should be able to book with you directly, at no commission, instead of going back through the OTA at full price.
Who owns the guest data?
You do. Guests, bookings, reviews, invoices and messages are your property's records, exportable at any time. We do not resell your list and we do not stand between you and the person staying in your room.
What happens if I want to leave?
Download your theme and run it on your own server — it is a real package paired to the backend with a key you control — and export your data. That is a deliberately supported path, not a hostage negotiation.
Is my team technical enough for this?
Nothing in the setup requires code. The one genuinely technical step, pointing your domain at the site, is a DNS record we do with you on a call. Staff sign in and see only the screens their role covers.
How long until it is actually live?
A property that has its rooms and rates to hand is usually live on its own address the same day. Your own domain follows whenever the DNS change suits you, and your existing channels keep selling throughout.
What does it cost?
There is a free tier for a single property that does not expire — channel manager, booking website, console and accounting included. Paid tiers are priced per listing. See the pricing page, or email us for a quote against your portfolio.
